Why We Are Here

Several years ago, while on a mission trip to a rural village in Africa, I realized firsthand that poverty is not merely an economic condition; it is a grave injustice that robs individuals of their dignity, opportunities, and basic human rights. Across the globe, millions are trapped in a cycle of deprivation, denied access to education, healthcare, and even the most fundamental necessities of life.
How can some of us have so much, while others have so little?
Our decision to focus humanitarian efforts on the Dominican Republic stems from a deeply personal connection forged over the past decade. My husband and I have been visiting this beautiful country for the past ten years, and with each trip, we've felt an undeniable pull on our hearts to support its people. Through these journeys, we've witnessed firsthand the resilience, warmth, and unwavering spirit of the Dominican people. It's as if with each visit, God has gently nudged us closer to understanding our purpose in helping alleviate the struggles faced by the communities here.
The vibrant culture, coupled with the stark realities of poverty and inequality, has ignited within us a profound sense of responsibility to make a meaningful difference. By focusing our efforts in the Dominican Republic, we aim to channel our passion, resources, and commitment towards creating sustainable change, while empowering individuals and families to build brighter, more hopeful futures for themselves and their communities.
We do this through following the love of God.
